Visiting Artists Live Work Residence, Williamsburg Brooklyn, NY
A renovation to a 4 unit building with three floors housing a live work space for a pair of visiting Taiwanese artists to share for a set amount of time. Ground floor for long term artist living and work, Cross collaboration and use of space in different ways considered and artist adaptation encouraged. Flexibility considered for activities, dividers and lighting.
Communal stair including light well and look outs from individual floors. Radiant heating in lower level unit. New kitchens and baths on each level.
Work on exterior including excavating the front entry and a sunken patio and adding a garden for collective gatherings.

Meditation Center East End Long Island
Project includes a meditation center and 8 autonomous units for long term meditation retreats. Orientation to outside, light, paths and ease of use including acoustic and thermal considerations. Goal of units to be comfortable, efficient and autonomous. Goal of site to foster a sense of place and community.
